Places for People named one of the UK's Best Workplace for Women™ 2024

We are proud to announce that we have been named in the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women™ by Great Place to Work.  

This list recognises UK companies that ensure a reasonable balance of women and men across the organisation, removing barriers to women’s career advancement, and creating workplaces where all Colleagues, regardless of gender, can flourish. 

To show our commitment to making our workplace great for everyone, we’ve launched several new initiatives over the last year which include:  

• establishing a Gender Inclusion and Belonging Group with 50 members who meet monthly to keep things moving forward
• achieving Endometriosis Friendly Employer status
• launching the "Move through Menopause" pilot programme to help Colleagues navigating menopause
• ongoing reviews of policies to make sure they’re free from gender bias and barriers
• prioritised gender representation at the Senior Leadership Team level as part of our Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategy
• being proud members of Women into Construction and WISH – Women in Social Housing. 

Next on our agenda is to continually improve our gender representation at senior level, something which we’ll be focusing on as part of our group EDI strategy.
